SCADA, Monitoring & Control Systems
Custom Solutions
All SCADA systems are special-built, in collaboration between Belvent A/S & Fyns Energiteknik A/S.
They feature an overview, constantly taking measures to make sure that the dehumidification is working optimally and constantly. It can then be remote-controlled to fix problems, as soon as they arise.
EWG delivers state-of-the-art SCADA and monitoring solutions tailored specifically for bridge dehumidification and ventilation systems. In collaboration with Fyns Energiteknik A/S, and drawing on Belvent A/S’s deep expertise in mechanical systems integration, we develop custom-built platforms that ensure seamless control, real-time data acquisition, and long-term operational reliability.
Our systems are based on industry-proven architectures such as Siemens and TREND (IO), which are configured to match the unique needs of each project and client. Whether the installation is on a newly constructed bridge or a retrofit of existing infrastructure, the SCADA systems are engineered to provide intuitive overviews and granular control of all key parameters — including airflow, pressure, temperature, humidity, and energy consumption — across injection and exhaust points, plant rooms, pylons and anchor chambers.
EWG’s monitoring platforms are designed for full interoperability with other structural health monitoring (SHM) systems in use on modern bridges. This includes integration with acoustic cable monitoring, wind and weather data, corrosion measurements, and seismic/stability system platforms from third-parties such as SENMOS. As a result, bridge owners and operators can consolidate and visualize complex data streams in one coherent platform, significantly enhancing decision-making and predictive maintenance capabilities.
One of the key advantages of our SCADA systems is their role in alarm and event management. When a parameter — such as internal humidity or energy consumption — exceeds set thresholds, the system triggers alarms and logs the event, enabling maintenance personnel to respond quickly and prevent long-term degradation or downtime. Combined with smart diagnostics and remote access options, this ensures that the system’s health can be monitored around the clock, even from remote control centers.
Beyond live operational monitoring, EWG’s SCADA platforms allow for comprehensive historical data analysis. All measurements are continuously logged and stored, allowing engineers and operators to generate customized trend graphs, reports, and performance reviews over weeks, months, or years. This data is invaluable for evaluating long-term system performance, identifying patterns, and implementing energy optimization strategies.
SCADA and monitoring solutions from EWG are not only a tool for control — they are a strategic asset that significantly reduces energy costs, downtime, and manual maintenance on complex bridge structures. In many cases, our solutions can be retrofitted to existing dehumidification or ventilation systems, bringing aging infrastructure up to modern monitoring standards and ensuring long-term resilience and regulatory compliance.
